How many cities can you find this right in the heart of Downtown? Today I went for a walk during lunch through RiverFront Park and the falls have so much water going over them this time of year it is amazing to just stand there on the foot bridge and just take in the sound and sight of such an awesome thing.

Old BBQ died

Well, my old BBQ that I revived six years ago has seen its last grilling. Thanks to Rena and her Mom for six years of great grilling! This winter was too much for it though and the gas knobs rusted shut rendering it useless. Thats OK though because now we have the new and improved JP's House gas grill! We tried to fit it in the back of the 4-Runner, but it was too big. So thanks to some help from Staci, we managed to put one together from a box in record time and still make it to Kinsleys birthday party! It has been tested and approved, and this Wednesday it will make it's grilling debut.

Vacant Lot Next Door Up For Sale!

Well, I discovered that the vacant lot next door with the dead tree leaning towards my house is up for sale, so I may soon have a new neighbor. If anyone is interested it is listed for $79,000, it is big enough to divide into two small lots.

Bryan, Sami, Staci, and I are off to Whistler this Thursday through Sunday! Forcast is calling for beautiful blue skies, on top of a all time record breaking month for snow in January! So exciting! We can watch the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Italy in the next Olympic village, should be a hopping place! Wish everyone could come with us.

Well, as if the 02 sensors in my four runner, the flat tire, the dishwasher, the sprinkler timer, the furnace, the flood preventing plumbing, the dvd player, and the faucet were not enough for things to recently be fixed or replaced, I have yet one more thing to add to the list...... Yes some of you may already know, the washing machine also had to be replaced this week. But thats not all.... once it was replaced, I discovered to my dismay that it had to be repaired. I went to Freds Appliance and they had a ding and dent sale... I thought a cosmetic blemish was worth the discount so I said I'll take it. Well apparently it was a little more dinged than I thought, the soap dispenser was bent in a way that it could not be opened. I discovered this after I paid for it and it was delivered. So the repair man should be here on Tuesday then we should be good as new (hopefully). We will see.

Whistler Extended Weekend!

Bryan, Sami, and I are planning on a four day weekend road trip to beautiful Vancouver, BC where we will continue on to Whistler Ski Resort for two days (site of the 2010 Winter Olymics). The plan is for this to happen Feb 9-12 (thur-sun). If anyone would like to join us there may be a two for the price of one lift ticket involved. We will be staying most likely at hostels (about $20-25/night) for three nights and gas will be split equally. Full Price lift tickets are $70 CAN (about $60 US). So there is some cost involved with this trip, but it should be an awesome time! If this is something you are interested in, let one of us know ASAP.

I told Josh about Thanksgiving Dinner last night. He should be getting off work in time to come. He was also concerned about his sleep because he has to get up at 3AM and with his new work schedule he doesn't get a nap the next day anymore. I told him we would wrap things up by 11PM, so perhaps movie time should be before dinner rather than after.

Pre Thanksgiving Dinner

Seeing as how some of us will be spending Thanksgiving Day with our families who we only get to see a few times a year (which can be good or bad), there will be a Pre Thanksgiving Pot Luck Dinner that all are invited to. It will be Saturday night.

Come as early as 5PM, Eating will begin at 8:30 (so all can come)

I will probably cook a ham rather than turkey (for times sake), but we will see. I will also make some instant potatoes and gravy unless someone is willing to volunteer to make the real meal deal.

It would be great if you are planning on coming to post a comment on what you plan on bringing so we don't get duplicate food items. People who will be at rehearsal will probably want to bring cold deserts or something that does not need to be cooked as it will not be hot by 8:30.

Some of this has been discussed already, but I've forgotten who volunteered to bring them. Things we will need are...

stuffing
real potatoes?
vegetables
drinks

We all have a lot to be Thankful for, one of those things for me (and for most of us I think) is having good friends. So lets spend time together and eat and have a good time.

Bekah could not manage to get off work tomorrow night. Sadly she has to close. I told her about the party and she begged everyone to fill in but no one could... so here is the deal. We are meeting at Jps at 8:30 bring some food for the pot luck. we don't need to hide cars. but bekah wants to come to her party she gets off at 10:45 so what we are going to do is get all our food to jps and decorate. Then we will carpool to Starbucks and get some coffee from our birthday girl and provide her with at least one surprise. Then we will eat and play games and or watch movies... i know that this is later than what was expected. People will be getting there earlier to set up crockpots and maybe decorate Jps pad. so feel free to come i will be there enjoying everyones company! we will leave for Starbucks at 8:30. Be there or be square that will be her main surprise. Spred this information around. She is already sad that she missed her party so the more people who can come the better! Lets Bless Bekah!
